This is my favorite example of conspicuous carbon consumption. In August of 1978 French filmmaker Claude Lelouch attached a camera to a Ferrari 275 GTB and got a Formula 1 driver to drive from Porte Dauphine to the Sacre Coeur … in eight minutes.
The film below is neither edited nor sped up. I especially love the cut-through at the Louvre and the switch to the oncoming lane near L’Opera.
