Roy, you raise an interesting point. Maybe the state should enact a Rugrat Tax for education. If they do that, it won’t prevent births, what will you do when folks can’t pay it, create a debtor’s prison. We can barely enforce Child Support Laws as it is, much less make public education consumer driven.

If you use the same logic we should have an Odometer Tax which taxes an individual based on the mileage of their car each year to pay for highways. The argument becomes ultimately ludicrous because we pay for some government services we ultimately don’t use and we sometimes pay less than the government services we use. Parks and Recreation is a good example of this if you use them.

Incidentally, liked the government official comment. I had to remind myself that all government officials are required to take the MARK when we’re sworn in to office. It’s either that or drink the koolaid.
