Speaking of the property-flipping deal that got Winston-Salem housing authority officials in, uh, hot water, the FBI was in town asking Mayor Allen Joines what the city knew and when they knew it.
Joines said the city was planning a review of the land deal when they found out that the FBI and HUD were pursuing a criminal investigation.
Speaking of HUD, the best thing I could hear from either presidential candidate that they’d tear it down. And that’s not me saying it.
