Ted Turner has had an interesting career. After inheriting a family
billboard business (Turner Outdoor Advertising) he bought a little UHF
station in Atlanta, Channel 17, and made it into the first cable
superstation. Tiring with that, he created CNN 25 years ago. Now he’s tired of the news biz altogether and he’s going to concentrate on his restaurant business, Ted’s Montana Grill.
Now, I’ve been disenchanted with Ted’s news offerings for some time,
but I can tell you that his bison burger, which I eat often at the Ted’s Montana Grill near the Streets at Southpoint in Durham, is the best hamburger you’re ever going to find.
ALMOST FORGOT: There’s a refreshing anti-political correctness vibe at Ted’s Montana Grill, most notably the menu holders on the tables that are made with expended rifle cartridges.
