The Winston-Salem City Council will hold a public hearing before considering “more than $400,000 in grants and loans to help pay for environmental cleanups at one building in the Piedmont Triad Research Park.”

The city has had a $500,000 EPA grant sitting around for 10 years doing nothing, and now they finally have —as deputy city manager Derwick Paige puts it —-“a viable project.” The bigger question is how much the city will loan PTRP to supplement to grant.
