Alamance County Sheriff Terry Johnson —recently cleared of racial profiling charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice —tells WFMY the “Obama Administration had been looking for a southern sheriff to make an example of and Sheriff Johnson, you’re it.”

Johnson also said deputies who testified under oath claiming they witnessed racial profiling of Latinos ‘committed perjury’ and that he would take a lie detector test if they would.

Johnson added that the stress of the lawsuit caused him to break down in front of his attorney and that while “you have to forgive and you have to forget….. I don’t know that I’ll ever forget.”
