I wondered earlier when the state’s major newspapers were going to editorialize on the outrageous statements Rep. Mel Watt has made over the last weeks, the most recent of which is his vote for a congressional pay raise was applying “the same principles to myself that I would apply to other people.”
I don’t know if the High Point Enterprise is considered a major newspaper, but Sunday’s editorial says Watt’s vote was either “skewed logic” or “a lame excuse.”
