Greensboro Politics highlights the question Greensboro City Council member Robbie Perkins poses over at N&R editor Allen Johnson’s blog regarding the proposed $26 million greenway:

One question Allen didn’t ask was how much it will cost Greensboro not to spend the money, to not try to reach beyond traditional bounds, to settle for doing OK. Greensboro has to find ways to get important things done–and the Greenway is one of them.”

Ah yes, the age-old question of how much it’ll cost if we don’t do something. Seems like I heard former Guilford County Schools Superintendent Terry Grier ask that question a few times when advocating for a partiucular program.

No doubt Grier’s shadow will be lingering over the polls today as voters decide whther or not pass the $457 million in school bonds.
