John at Power Line has some details of the bailout deal, especially the comparisons of the Chris Dodd-Barney Frank version that everyone was trying to railroad on Thursday and Friday, the one festooned with giveaways to unions and ACORN. As John notes of the Republican effort to make this thing more sane:
If voters understood the events of the last week, they would probably return control of the House, and perhaps the Senate, to the Republicans. The mainstream media will make sure that doesn’t happen.
