Mark Steyn makes a great point about the immigration bill that thankfully died (for now) last week in Congress:

Law-abiding foreign nationals who filed their paperwork in the last two years would be required to go back to their home countries and start all over again. Not only does this bill reward law-breaking, it punishes law-abiding.

As for the abracadabra-you’re-legal provisions in the bill, Steyn notes:
