The day that the Obama takeover of our health care was passed a little known provision of the bill went into effect—retroactively. This is according to a ruling by the FDA. The mandate is for all companies with 20 or more restaurants or vending machines [to] disclose
nutrition content for standard menu items, and that for vending machines
in particular, the company ?shall provide a sign in close proximity to
each article of food or the selection button that includes a clear and
conspicuous statement disclosing the number of calories contained in the
article.?

But according to this article from CNS.com the problem, or for the restaurant and vending machine owners, the temporary reprieve, is that the Feds have yet to figure how to enforce the provision–particularly with respect to vending machines.
