This is the terrible reality of ObamaCare for about 230,000 customers of the insurance giant Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC.
The N.C. Department of Insurance approved Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina’s rate increase on grandfathered plans. Customers who choose these plans will see an increase of between 16 percent and 24 percent.
This particular set of grandfathered plans are those that were initially determined non-conforming to the minimum standards set out in the Affordable Care Act.
ObamaCare is failed policy. It must be repealed and replaced with a consumer-driven insurance marketplace for insurance that provides a menu of choices to meet the individual needs and wants of the American consumer.
