Kindley is a stockbroker and longtime chairman of the Guilford County Republican Party. During his remarks, Kindley trumpeted past successes in electing candidates in a heavily Democratic county. He stressed his experience as a local party activist and said that GOP delegates will be electing “a facilitator, not a dictator.?

Randall is a 27-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and recently moved to North Carolina after retiring from the service. He and his wife now reside in Wake Forest. Among other things, Randall said during his remarks at the forum that Republicans ?have to define who we are ? we can?t let the enemy define who we are.?
