It’s something to keep in mind as we in NC and elsewhere in the U.S. continue to barter away citizens’ individual rights in exchange for local geld?in the form of politicos who offer corporate welfare, engorged public sector spending, fewer citizen choices in energy, housing, transportation, and lifestyle, harangues to be ‘bipartisan’ rather than principled, and propose endless other diminutions of personal liberty (and responsibility). Of course, we are doing it through the peaceful political process, so we can still call it democracy, and freedom in action; still comparatively soft versions of the Chinese solution to tourism and economic stimulus.
