Here is an article that makes the point. It’s worth keeping it in mind as politicians unleash barrages of nonsense about how they plan to use government to make us more prosperous.
The only helpful things the politicians could do would be to reduce the government’s drag on the ability of the private sector to produce goods and services that people want. Doing so entails cutting spending, cutting taxes, and repealing laws and regulations that strangle enterprise.
Wake me up if any of the candidates comes close to advocating even the tiniest bit of that.
