Two of them ? Walter Jones and Howard Coble ? are North Carolinians, sadly. All but two Democrats voted for defeat, including Rep. David Price of Chapel Hill, my congressman. Meanwhile, two Democrats, one from Georgia (Jim Marshall) and the other from Mississippi (Gene Taylor) bolted from their “sunshine patriot” party and voted to against the defeatist resolution.
