Ah, just what CMS needs, bus drivers that are Teamsters. But starting next month the union will make a push in Mecklenburg County to organize school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, janitors, and other hourly-wage support staff.

The ultimate goal is repeal of North Carolina’s right-to-work laws, but in the interim the Teamsters would lobby school districts and county governments for higher wages and benefits for members. More spending would of course mean more taxes to pay for the spending. And we all know how undertaxed Mecklenburg is right now, huh?
