That’s what Larry Kudlow, quoting Kevin Hassett, says about the most recent redistributionist tax proposals to come from the Democrats. They’re eager to play the envy card, thinking that the number of people who believe that transferring more wealth from those who are successful in business to the government is good will outnumber those who understand that wealth left in private hands will be used productively. Kudlow’s article concludes with this accurate statement: “Whenever Democrats wage war against the rich, the middle class becomes the collateral damage.”
I wonder what Edwards, Obama and Hillary would say in response.
