In Wisconsin, dozens of people filled up their gas tanks as fast as they could — some even filled up gas cans — because the pump was mistakenly programmed to charge only 34.9 cents per gallon, rather than $3.49. And they’re proud of what they did. One woman “proudly showed off her receipt” for what she took from the station owner.

And we wonder why our society has an abundance of moral and ethical troubles.

And we wonder why people no longer feel shame or remorse.

And we wonder why kids no longer see a distinction between right and wrong.

I wonder no more.
