The NCAA today announced that is granting a fifth year of eligibility to 36 athletes who were not seniors for the Duke lacrosse team in 2006, when the season was canceled because of the controversy surrounding the now dismissed case. Seniors from this year’s team would have the option of coming back and doing graduate work or moving on with their lives, according to lacrosse coach John Danowski.
This is the first time in a long time I can remember the NCAA doing the right thing.
