Cut, cut cut — that’s what the mean-spirited conservative legislators did to the K-12 education budget, right?

Wrong. And now at least one person on the Left acknowledges that the General Fund budget for FY 2013-14 increases K-12 funding compared to last year’s budget.

In fact, there is a $400 million increase in education spending compared to last year’s budget, including 5% more for K-12, 3% more for community colleges, and a slight increase for the UNC System.
