How is this good news?

When your state, county, and city have to pay $5m. for 225 jobs — $22,000 per job — you are doing something wrong. That something is a public sector that is much too large, fed by taxes which are much too high.

But hey, the Uptown crowd which puts these deals together and hypes them to the moon must be right. The lockstep reporting certainly raises no doubts. At this rate it will only take another $666m. in taxpayer subsidies to cure the county’s lingering recession.
