Political doublespeak is not fooling anybody. For example:
Unintended consequences = effect, as in “cause and effect.”
Deregulation = perks for friends of government.
Fairness = unfairness.
Security = violation of everything sacred.
Scare tactics = economics.
Terrorist = conservative.
. . . which leads to the new definition of “racist.” I was recently called a racist. I was outside a venue looking for a ticket to a Moody Blues concert. A guy tried to sell me a really bad seat, insinuating it was not that bad. I declined, as I don’t drive for hours to watch 3” people on stage. The scalper said I was a racist, and I replied I had said nothing about race; he had brought up the subject. He then applied an acid test to prove I was racist. He asked me to dinner, and I declined.
If logic were still permissible, then one could conclude that those who disagree with the president are merely girls who do not date less than honest strangers.
