The college students who think their education should be “free” — that is, free to them and very, very costly to you and me — “protested” today at the legislature.

Jenna Ashley Robinson of the Pope Center for Higher Education Policy has posted pictures of the signs they carried. As you view them, remember that these young people actually took time to draw the posters they’re carrying. Yes, they thought about these posters and determined they would help make their case.

As Jenna points out:

Perhaps the students didn’t hear that the conservative Board of Governors voted not to raise tuition this year? Or that they actually cut the student health fee at one UNC campus? Or that the governor’s budget preserves $4.5 million for UNC Need Based Scholarships? Or maybe they just wanted something to protest.

I have no problem with protests. What I have a problem with are uninformed protesters.
