The N&R’s Mark Binker writes up the ALE report on Greensboro ABC system manager Katie Alley:

Problems at the High Point ABC Board a few years ago involving minibottles a few years agohad made Alley cautious in how she handled them,” (attorney Jeff) Gray said. She wasn’t about to touch the minibottles because they were basically toxic, basically unregulated,” he added.

Yet interviews with employees detailed in the report suggest that Alley “was removing promotional minibottles attached to some products” and that on “several occasions” Alley was observed taking “boxes of minibottles to her car.”

Alley has an interesting background —- she “became chief of the ABC system after working for several years as a part-time clerk.” What’s up with that?
