Even West Virginia, which used to a be a white-knuckle, beer-and-a-chaser just to stay sane kinda state, is cut by big, sweeping four and six lane interstates these days.
Compare that with the sad joke that is I-77 from Statesville to Charlotte. There should be an overpass perp-walk for those responsible. Even the HOV lane is low-rent. It is damn embarassing.
Like I’ve said before, local officials should refuse to remit taxes to Raleigh and direct local law enforcement to confiscate state property for auction. That might get the Down East kleptocrats’ attention. All they understand is money and power, power and money.
