One can glean a couple insights from the latest issue of the Watauga Democrat.
First, government is slipping. The Watauga County Board of Commissioners determined that digital billboards should be outlawed. Then, they decided they should be permissible as long as the number of billboards in the county does not increase. So, now what lack ye for building confidence in overreaching government?
Secondly, Watauga is a great place to vacation; not because you want to go there or because there is anything to see, but because temperatures are falling. If you have to leave a carbon footprint somewhere, this would be a great place to spread the pain.
