The latest numbers from the State Board of Elections suggest an overall turnout of 68.37 percent. That may creep up with provisional ballots, but I don’t know whether provisionals would help break the record 69 percent turnout from 1984.
Wake County’s turnout is listed now at 73.71 percent, while Mecklenburg’s is listed at 65.81 percent.
