On Monday night, word began to spread that UK health secretary Andrew Lansley intends to abolish the Food Standards Agency, the UK’s equivalent of our Food and Drug Administration.
Of course many of FSA’s regulatory duties will be taken over by other agencies, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some of them will get lost in the move.
