Today’s Jim Black scandal features co-star Meredith Norris working to land a state job for the wife of the former head of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, which was paying Norris to lobby for it. Michael Almond’s wife, Helen Ruth Almond, ultimately landed a tourism job with the state Department of Commerce.
Remind me again why we even have a Charlotte Regional Partnership? Especially one using public funds to pull this kind of stunt.
