Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington has devoted much of his attention recently to monitoring unusual flight patterns involving outgoing Gov. Mike Easley. The Henderson Daily Dispatch recently highlighted CJ‘s efforts in tracking down the story’s details. (Carolina Journal — a monthly publication by the John Locke Foundation, a free-market
think-tank based in Raleigh — in its November issue has published a
story calling into question the relationship between Easley and a
family of backers who also happen to be pilots. The publication says
that since the year 2000, when Easley was first running for governor,
there are claims that he has benefited from up to $200,000 a year in
