The proposal to ban the display of guns in Charlotte after a few sketchy gun sightings is now on hold for a few weeks. City staff is going off to “study” the issue. Uh-oh.
Question for the staff: What would a new law allow police to do that they now cannot do? Please be specific.
Memo to Chief Darrel Stephens: Enforce existing weapons laws please.
