Last night’s Guilford County Commissioners’ meeting wasn’t broadcast live because it was held in High Point. But in an unposted N&R piece, we learn a little more about Commissioner Steve Arnold’s problems with county polling places.

Arnold not only made a motion to limit early voting locations to courthouses and town halls, but to do away with the health department’s plan to give flu shots at polling places.

“I’ve been around Democrats too long,” Arnold said, “and they’re using the machiery of government to maximize the Democrat turnout.”

You go to the polls to vote. You go to the health department to get a flu shot. No need whatsoever to combine to the two.
