The Charlotte Capitalist has had it — he’s voting a straight Democrat ticket today.

For my Election Day plans, go here to see them along with several other Reason trouble-makers. Hint: it ain’t pretty. While you are there, check this roundtable on who deserves the libertarian vote.

And I see where local turnout is projected to be in the 30 to 35 range. You don’t say. Coming after a 2005 vote with only 20 percent turnout despite a massive school bond on the ballot and a $300,000 GOTV campaign for the bond? Over 30 percent turnout in a “blue moon” election cycle? I think 35 percent would be a truly huge turnout this year in Mecklenburg, but we’ll see what happens.

Update: I should add that I’ll be dropping in as much Election Day coverage as possible today, so keep checking back.
