Yet another twist in the Harvey Davis -City of Winston-Salem saga.

Just to get everyone up to speed, the city wants to use eminent domain to convert Davis’ garage into a so-called “transportation hub.” The city would pay Davis $681,900 for the building and would pay to move Davis’ auto-repair shop to a new location.

Davis has a new location in mind, but city planners are recommending against rezoning the property.

The city-county planning board will hear the case tomorrow.
