Wake Forest basketball player Tony Woods pleads guilty to assaulting his girlfriend and mother of his 8-month-old son. Woods was given a suspended 60-day sentence for the assault that fractured Courtney Barbour’s spine.
What blows me away is the incident took place with both Woods’ and Barbour’s mothers in the apartment. I don’t about you, but if I kicked my significant other and raised my fist as if I was going to hit her in front of her mother, I’m not sure I’d be sitting here writing this right now.
Woods has been suspended by indefinitely from the basketball team. He should not be allowed to return.
