The race is on to determine the direction of the Wake County school board. All eyes now turn to District 3.
Last week incumbent Democrat Kevin Hill failed to receive enough votes to win re-election to the District 3 seat.
Today, Republican Heather Losurdo formally requested the runoff versus Hill, which will be held November 8.
