According to the article in this morning’s Journal, owner Billy Prim will address the ownership shake-up that slowed construction on the taxpayer-funded downtown stadium at this morning’s news conference. That will be interesting.

Does anyone in Winston-Salem really give a rat’s a$$ about this low-class baseball franchise whose rich owner continues to suck up money from taxpayers who can not afford to pay taxes? Another question—why is construction on the baseball stadium running behind schedule? Has the team’s owner run into financial problems? Is the city still using your tax money to provide funds for construction, even though it appears that construction is not proceeding on time? When will the team’s owner go back to his pal, the mayor, and ask for more taxpayer money? Stay tuned.
Update: Prim says the stadium’s running $16 million over budget and might not open on time.
