A few words about mountain politics from Senate Majority Leader Martin Nesbitt, D-Buncombe. In this 7:31 video, Nesbitt explains to fellow Democrats what’s at stake in the election (redistricting) and says, unlike 1994, his party’s unified and ready for the challenge.
“The next 20 years rides on this election,” Nesbitt said.
The video was “Paid for by OFA176.com,” self-identified “Democratic Community Organizers,” a Western North Carolina offshoot of Organizing for America, the group launched by President Obama in 2009 to pitch his agenda and promote Democratic candidates.
