Just a quick huh? to note that the popular faux beach joint at Sardis and Monroe was closed up tighter than a drum last Sunday during what would normally be prime NFL-watching time.
There was a sign on the door, but I didn’t bother to park and hop out and read it. Headed to Brixx instead.
I can’t believe a place that does that kind of business is closed, but who knows. Guesses?
Update: I queried Uptown paper of record reporter Karen Sullivan about this and she wrote back to say she heard it closed months ago. Really? Google for that and you get a big goose-egg. And the months-ago theory is hard to square with the signage still being up and the interior intact. That means someone is still paying the rent. Weird.
