Can U.S. Rep. Walter Jones read? He has told Fox News he’s going to sign on to a resolution condemning radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh for something Limbaugh never said. It’s one thing for the media and Democrats to refuse to check out the facts past Media Matters’ truncated transcript, but for a Republican congressman to do it is just unforgivable.

Earth to Walter: When Limbaugh used the term “phony soldier” he was referring to actual phony soldiers like Jesse MacBeth and Scott Thomas Beauchamp. He was not generalizing to any soldier against the war, which is what Media Matters and other left-wing organizations are trying to sell. Jones needs to quit listening to the likes of Harry Reid, fake war hero Tom Harkin and Dick Durbin, military slanderers all.

In the end, this attack by the Left is seen as absurd on its face. Accusing Limbaugh of being anti-military is akin to someone trying to accuse Martin Luther King of not supporting civil rights. It’s just laughable. Somehow, I think Jones will learn the truth of this sometime in the next day or two and not join the Dems in their resolution.
