The NRA made headlines in the local daily for voicing a collective opinion that getting homicidal maniacs off the streets (via detention and not any of that “capital punishment three seconds before the crime” stuff) would make America safer. By a show of hands, how many of you out there believe otherwise? A more interesting question might be, how many of you support public policy based on the assumption that you believe otherwise?
