Business owners and the homeless marched to celebrate International Workers’ Day in Asheville. (I swear, anybody who reads these posts has got to think I’m schizo.) I’m just reporting. Really.
“All of us are people who believe the workers of the world must stand together to proclaim that capitalism as a system is injurious to people’s health,” John Spitzberg said. “It’s like cancer. I know of no healthy capitalism.”
The group shouted various chants, including “What’s disgusting? Union busting!” and “When working families are under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!”
