John’s daily journal this morning, which explained a Fayetteville pork project that nobody asked for, reminded me of the budget item a couple of years ago that nobody seemed to want: a structural pest control facility at N.C. State. We borrowed money for that one, too.
Goes to show that if politicians can’t immediately find something they need funded in their districts, just give ’em a minute, and they’ll make something up.
John also discussed film incentives in the state, and the whining from the lobbyists about how insufficient they are. All I have to say is, look out, here comes California (NYTimes registration required).
