A couple days ago, I posted a comment about a new wave of funding for the Eagle Market Street project. At the time, I didn’t realize the developers intended to create $200/month apartments on the prime real estate. In another venue this morning, I mentioned that I’ve been looking at the rooms/share offerings on Craigslist for the past two weeks. So far, I’ve found about three that are less than $350/month and not “420 friendly.”

Oh, by the way, these inexpensive apartments fall within the new 7-cent taxing district. They won’t be cheap, though. The list of amenities includes “spacious floor plans, balconies, Energy Star appliances, washer/dryer hookups, beautiful interior lighting, ceiling fans, ample closet space with pantry and master bedroom walk-in closet, and long-term storage units for each apartment.” Site amenities include nice landscaping, an indoor playground, a fitness room, and a business center.
