There is abundant evidence that American kids are lousy at math. Stossel’s recent program pointed that out, as did the National Assessment of Adult Literacy, which found that many high school and even college graduates can’t handle even very simple quantitative problems.

Why?

Could it be because their teachers aren’t good at math either?
