In our morning local papers today was the wire story about Hamas using a Mickey Mouse knock-off on a Palestinian TV show to urge kids to fight for Islamic world domination. Thing is, that story was the talk of the blogosphere two days ago. Not only did the blogosphere scoop the mainstream media on this important story, the pressure from the blogger exposure has caused Hamas to kill the TV show. The mainstream media can’t take any credit for the TV show being pulled because they didn’t publish anything on it until after the show had been axed.
Next time an MSM rep gets all snooty about bloggers and other alternative media, remember this little incident. It happens almost every day, but if you only watch and read the MSM, you never know about it.
