Finally, there is demand for something in this economy. The local daily reports a serious shortage of ammo and anything gun-related in the Asheville area. In a former era, this would be a call to spark a gun-stuff industry. Today, consumer demand is no match for governmnent subsidy, and it is expected that any day, gun-stuff will be outlawed or regulated in unanticipated ways. It is less risky to watch TV on unemployment than to invest a fortune in jumping through government hoops. Besides, it is not too difficult to find a college professor to say the shortage is caused by surplus product in an environment with vanishingly small demand – with multipliers.
