Mitch,

Regarding the Anti-federalists:? Exactly.? In a splendid political?maneuver to get the Constitution passed, the so-called federalists, who were more nationalistic than the anti-federalists, co-opted the term “federalism” because they knew Americans by and large distrusted centralized government.? It should be noted that centralized government by today’s standards is far more interventionist than what any of the Founders, anti-federalists or federalists, would have wanted.? Anyway, the anti-federalist defenders of individual liberty and the creators of the Bill of Rights deserve to be celebrated as much as the creators of the Constitution.?
