Okay. So Michael Decker is called before a grand jury in June 2005. Soon thereafter a $5,000 check from Speaker Jim Black’s campaign fund arrives to help pay for Decker’s legal bills.
Eventually Deckers plead guilty in August to accepting a $50,000 bribe from some as yet unknown Democrat leader to switch parties in 2003 and support Jim Black for speaker.
